Central Foundation Boys’ School combines traditional values with a modern education. Our students work in a disciplined environment that is conducive to learning. Central Foundation Boys’ School has been a Business and Enterprise Specialist School since 2003. This has enabled us to enhance our facilities, develop the work we do in Business, Maths and ICT and extend our links with local business and the community. In 2009 Ofsted praised our work in this area:

- Excellent support for students in and out of lessons leads to students’ outstanding achievement
- There is a good provision of academic, vocational and applied courses
- There is an extensive range of links and visits with businesses and visiting speakers
The excellent facilities of the sixth form centre include four fully equipped ICT rooms, which are also used for teaching and private study.
