New Design and Technology specialism

 

From September 2012 Central Foundation Boys' School will be offering two strands of the Design and Technology Product Design AS/A2.

In addition to the Graphic Products option the Resistant Materials option will also be on offer.

Central Cuisine

After the success of Central Foundation student-run restaurant last year, Central Foundation Hospitality Diploma students had another opportunity to wine and dine guests in their very own food establishment, this time named ‘Central Cuisine’.

Application for admission 2012-13

Applications to IC6 for the 2012-13 academic year are up 100%!

Due to the exceptionally high level of applications we are reviewing our curriculum to meet the increase in demand. Although the deadline for applications for admission has now passed late applications will still be considered.

Record 1000 people attend October 2011 IC6 Open Evening at Emirates Stadium

 
‘It was a great evening - it really helped me think about what I want to study’.

A record number of prospective IC6 students and parents/guardians took the opportunity to come along and meet with IC6 staff and students at our Open Evening at the Emirates Stadium on October 17th 2011.

Luminites live

On Wednesday 2nd November British Rowing star and Olympian Tom Solesbury visited Central Foundation Boys’ School and spent an inspiring afternoon with IC6 and Central Foundation Year 11 students.

Slaughter and May Power Hours

IC6 students studying in a range of subject areas recently participated in the leading international law firm Slaughter and May's Power Hours.

Power Hours involve spending lunchtime with employees at Slaughter and May and finding out about their role in the company, how they use their knowledge and skills on a day to day basis and how they got into their career.  The sessions are quite informal which gives the students the chance to feel at ease and ask questions.

BBC Business Editor Robert Peston visits Central Foundation Boys' School

As part of the launch of the charity Speakers for Schools which he has recently founded the BBC Business Editor, Robert Peston delivered a motivational speech to a group of IC6 and younger Central Foundation Boys’ School business and economics students at Central Foundation Boys’ School.
