IC6 UCAS/HE workshop programme

IC6 students enjoyed a stimulating three day UCAS/Higher Education programme of workshops with sessions delivered by staff and student ambassadors from Brunel University, City University London, University of Greenwich, London School of Economics and Political Science, Queen Mary University of London and University of Sussex.
The programme of workshop sessions ranged from looking at university and campus life, how to budget, the many factors that go into choosing a course and university, how to use a university prospectus and website effectively, tips for Open Days, what universities look for in a personal statement and how to write an effective personal statement.
This comprehensive introduction to higher education made a very positive start to the application process and by the end of the sessions students reported that they felt better informed and a lot less apprehensive about this next important step in their education.
