IC6 excels for second successive year!

IC6 has repeated the fantastic 2010 results in achieving a 99% pass rate for all A level and Vocational courses. Almost 50% of all students achieved the higher A*-B grades. Recruitment is up 35% from 2010 with over 700 students enrolled for 2011-12.
To repeat the tremendous step forward in achievement whilst also increasing our student numbers so significantly is an outstanding achievement and demonstrates the tremendous work of our staff and the mechanisms in place to support and monitor our students.
The remarkable results record combined with ‘Outstanding’ grades achieved at IC6 Ofsted inspections and last year’s Value Added figures from Alps and CVA places IC6 in the top 10% of all post-16 providers nationally.
To see so many IC6 students achieving such good results is truly inspiring. Parents, students, and staff and Islington residents have much to cheer about!
We are particularly pleased with the numbers of our students that have secured their places at good universities especially with the increased demand this year before the increase in fees next year.
Each IC6 partner school has achieved a 99% or higher pass rate for Year 13. Highbury Fields has achieved 100% pass rate for the last two years and both Highbury Grove and Central Foundation Boys’ schools have achieved 99% pass rates for the last two years alongside their excellent Ofsted inspections. St Aloysius’ College are delighted with their first year’s results and look forward to building on their sucess with their current substantial numbers of sixth form students.
