Progression Pathways

We offer many courses at Level 1-3. The route map below gives some suggestions of starting points and progression routes.

	I want the best chance to get into the university of my choice and to do the course I want. I have 6 GCSEs Grade B and above.		AQA Baccalaureate and/or 4 A Levels.
	I want to get into university and study an academic course. I have 6 GCSEs Grade C and above.		3 A Levels or Applied A Levels.
	I want to go to university and I want to gain knowledge and skills directly relevant to the world of work. I have 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above.		Level 3 Applied or Vocational courses BTEC National Diplomas, OCR, Diplomas or Applied A Levels.
	I might go to university or I might go into a job. I prefer learning practical skills and knowledge. I have at least 4 GCSEs at Grade D and above.		Level 2 Applied or Vocational courses, GCSE retakes or BTEC First Diploma.
	I want to get a job. I want to learn practical skills and knowledge. My GCSE results were not as good as I hoped but I am prepared to work hard and I have a good school reference.		Level 1 Vocational Courses, BTEC Introductory Diploma, BTEC Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy or COPE.
