AS/A2 English Literature

Central Foundation Boys' School and St Aloysius' College

Course Outline

English Literature B is divided into four units. Two of these are followed at AS and two at A2. The A-level is part exam and part coursework. Different genres within literature are studied as well as Marxist and feminist critical theories. All of these provide exciting new ways of reading texts. The set texts range from Shakespeare to The Kite Runner and students thus gain a breadth of study that is stimulating and inspiring. At A2 students are given new freedoms in choosing their own texts for study.
