Welcome to IC6
Welcome to the Islington Sixth Form Consortium (IC6) website.
IC6 was established in 2004 and is the joint sixth forms of Central Foundation Boys' School, Highbury Grove School, Highbury Fields School and St Aloysius' College. We provide outstanding sixth form education in a friendly, supportive and productive learning environment.
Over 700 students enrolled at IC6 in September 2011. A large number of our students come from
outside the four partner schools that make up IC6.
We are exceptionally proud of our achievements last year:
• 'Outstanding' value added (ALPS)
• 99% Achievement
• Highest in Local Authority
• 10% A*- twice National Average
• Value Added Top 5% London
In 2010-11 IC6 was inspected by Ofsted twice and received one of only 13 'outstanding' grades nationally for sixth forms. IC6 was described by Ofsted as having many 'outstanding features';
the systems in place for monitoring and supporting students across IC6 were praised as 'excellent'
and the curriculum and student achievement were highlighted as 'outstanding'.
Application to IC6 for entry in September 2012 is now open. If you were not able to make our October Open Evening you will be able to discuss the study options open to you at IC6 once we receive your completed application form.
The deadline for application for admission to IC6 is Friday 27th January 2012. Applications will be accepted after this date but due to demand the number of places we are able to offer students not currently studying at IC6 partner schools is restricted. If you want to secure your place and avoid disappointment we strongly advise you to apply before the deadline.
